I was born in Dallas and raised in Mesquite. I attended Tosch Elementary School, McDonald Middle School and North Mesquite High School.
While attending El Centro College of Nursing, I worked as a pharmacy technician at East Lake Pharmacy and as a nurse extern at Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas on the neuro rehabilitation floor. After graduation, I continued to work at Presbyterian as a post partum nurse and finally as a Labor and /delivery nurse, my passion, for 18 years. I have also worked as a phone triage nurse and legal nurse consultant. I have been a school nurse in MISD since 2002.
I am married to a wonderful electrical engineer, who teaches engineering/science in MISD. I have 2 awesome children, Zach and Abbey and a wonderful daughter-in-law, Sarah, as well as 1 fur babies, Violet.
In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I love baking, sewing, quilting and crocheting. I am very involved in my church, First United Methodist Church of Mesquite.
